| Beschreibung | The EU Office at the University of Göttingen will offer an event on the EU funding programm "COST – Your Doorway to EU Funding" on Thursday, 20 June 2019, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the meeting room (1st floor) at Von-Siebold-Straße 4, 37075 Göttingen. COST - an EU-funded programme - stands for "European Cooperation in Science and Technology". It is an ideal means for researchers and scholars to establish or develop transnational interdisciplinary research networks in Europe and beyond. These networks called COST Actions allow researchers and scholars jointly to develop their own ideas and new initiatives across all fields in science and technology, including social sciences and humanities, by providing funds to organise workshops, conferences, meetings, training schools, short scientific exchanges, dissemination and other networking activities. Simplified application and reporting procedures make COST a flexible, fast, effective and efficient networking instrument with funding for up to four years that can pave the way to EU-funded research projects. The open call procedure is science and technology-driven and will ensure a simple, transparent and competitive proposal evaluation and selection process, reflecting the bottom-up, open and inclusive principles of COST. There are two collection dates each year. The next collection date is on 5 Sepetember 2019. Researchers and scholars at all career stages and in all academic disciplines are invited to attend. Please, register by Friday, 7 June 2019. This event is limited to 25 participants. Presentations will be held in English. |
