Wolfgang Hiltscher is the Managing Director of the Faculty of Forestry and Forest Ecology. After studying Forestry at the University of Göttingen he did his PhD in the field of predator-prey relationships in fish communities. Afterwards he changed from research to research management and worked on the development of the international affairs of the Faculty of Forestry and Forest Ecosystems, the acquisition of third-party funds and the implementation of strategies of New Public Management in the organizational structures of the faculty. Today he manages the affairs of the faculty in general with the main focus on finance and human resources. He will soon have completed a master’s degree in mediation.
