| Beschreibung | The current PhD students at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS) would like to invite you to attend the second Rocks & Stars conference. The meeting will take place from September 13-16, 2017 at the MPS in Göttingen, Germany, and coincides with the 15th anniversary of our research school. The plenary sessions will take place over three days from September 13-15, encompassing all aspects of solar system science - including planetary science, solar and stellar physics, and instrumentation - with invited talks by outstanding researchers (see attached poster for details). There will also be opportunities for you to present your work, so you are very much encouraged to submit an abstract for a talk or a poster. On Saturday 16th September, the institute will host a Solar System School Career Day, which is aimed at bringing together as many current and former students as possible. Registration and abstract submission is now open and can be found on our webpage: http://www.mps.mpg.de/rocks-and-stars/home. The registration fee for the conference is 120€ or 70€ for students. You are invited to forward this massage to interested students and scientists, and to display the poster at your institute. Please note that a week after the Rocks & Stars conference the annual meeting of the German Astronomical Society will take place in Göttingen as well. |
