Theresia Dominic

Theresia is a lecturer, researcher, and consultant at the University of Dar es Salaam Business School “UDBS” at the University of Dar es Salaam “UDSM” in Tanzania where she has been a faculty member since 2004. She is the Business School’s Marketing Unit Coordinator and an associate member in the Centre of Policy and Research Advocacy (CPRA). Theresia is also a Board member of the Academic Board of the College of Business Education “CBE” in Tanzania for the 2019-2021 term. In 2015, she completed her ‘International Ph.D. Program for Agricultural Sciences “IPAG” at the Georg-August University Gottingen in Germany; and in 2004, her Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Dar es Salaam. While pursuing her Ph.D. studies in Germany, she was a GlobalFood member from 2012-2015, attached to the subproject A1. Currently, she teaches postgraduate and undergraduate programmes; and she supervises Ph.D. students registered at the University of Dar es Salaam. Theresia’s research interests lie in contemporary issues in human resources and agribusiness management, organisation development and strategic planning.

Theresia has consulted with private and public organisations in Tanzania including; Financial Sector Deepening Trust (FSDT), Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT), National Council for Technical Education (NACTE), SELF Microfinance Fund, Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), Fair Competition Commission (FCC), Cashewnut Industry Development Trust Fund (CIDTF), Belinda & Gates Foundation, TOTAL corporate foundation, and BEST-Dialogue program; to mention a few. She has served on several conferences and workshop program committees and organized public events and international conferences for the UDBS. Theresia is fluent in English and Swahili with intermediate level German. She enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
