  • Monitored the edge effect in forest fragmentation in the endangered Cerrado/Amazon Ecotone using optical and SAR satellite images
  • Organized, planned and executed fieldwork in a hotspot deforestation area
  • Supervised two master students in their work on forestry remote sensing
  • Published two articles in Remote Sensing Journals and presented my research findings in an international conferences
  • Successfully applied for travel grants – total amount: 6.500 Euros

  • Worked with a group of students/researches and presented the results in monthly meetings

  • Mapped agricultural area in Brazil using satellite images in the Cerrado biome for the project "Policies for Monitoring and Cerrado Biome" - Sustainable Cerrado Initiative – MMA”
  • Managed GIS data of the maps created in this project and wrote reports
  • Worked with a large group of researchers from several institutions
  • Helped team members to achieve the project deadlines

  • Identified and mapped the land use change related to sugarcane and soybean (Soy Moratorium) framing
  • Mapped and monitored of remaining natural vegetation, agricultural and mining activities, and incompatibility of uses with environmental legislation, using images from remote sensing satellites - http://www.dsr.inpe.br/laf/
  • Collaborated with researches and presented the project results in meetings
