Best Conference Paper Award and the Journal of Global Mobility Best Paper Award at EURAM 2017

Prof. Dr. Dr. Fabian Froese, Dr. Sebastian Störmer and Samuel Davies of the Faculty's Chair of Human Resources Management and Asian Business have been conferred the Best Conference Paper Award at this year's annual meeting of the European Academy of Management (EURAM) in Glasgow, UK, for their paper entitled "The Influence of Cultural Intelligence on Expatriate Knowledge Sharing: A Multilevel Country Analysis". The paper has further received the "Journal of Global Mobility (JGM): The Home of Expatriate Management Research (Emerald) Best Paper Award" at the Standing Track of Expatriate Management of EURAM's International Management Special Interest Group.

In their paper the authors examine the role of expatriates' cultural intelligence across 30 countries, representing ten distinct cultural clusters, for their embeddedness in the host country organization and knowledge sharing behaviours in the workplace.

EURAM's annual meeting is the major conference on topics in business and management research in Europe and the best paper has been selected from a host of 945 accepted submissions. The conference took place on June 21st-24th at the University's of Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow and was titled "Making Knowledge Work".
