Dr. Miriam Ellert

Miriam Ellert is a post doc in the German Linguistics Department at the Institute of German Studies since June 2010 and she is a member of the Courant Research Centre "Text Structures". She studied Psychology at the Universities ULP Strasbourg, Pontificia Comillas Madrid and RWTH Aachen. She received her PhD on "Ambiguous Pronoun Resolution in L1 and L2 German and Dutch" from the Max-Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics and the Radboud University Nijmegen. Afterwards she worked as a guest researcher at the English Linguistics Department of the University of Mannheim on language processing and language diagnostics, before starting her position at the University of Göttingen.

Her research interests focus on psycholinguistics, language processing, discourse and text processing, anaphors, and information structure. She mainly uses the visual-world eye-tracking paradigm to investigate spoken language comprehension.
