ECTS

All programs offer ECTS credits for their courses. The amount of ECTS for each Summer or Winter School depends on the workload of each program. Further information can be found on the individual program page.

ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) was developed by the European Commission in order to provide common procedures to guarantee academic recognition of studies abroad. It provides a way of measuring and comparing learning achievements, and of transferring them from one institution to another. ECTS credits are well-recognised worldwide and may enable you to replace a part of your studies with summer school courses! That gives you a less packed schedule during the semester and the possibility to speed up your studies.

International participants who wish to receive credits for attending short-term programs should check transfer policies with their academic advisor or the international office at their home institution before application. The program will provide an official certificate after the successful completion of the course. We will be happy to supply any additional information needed.
