2nd International Conference on Globalization and Development
The Research Training Group "Globalization and Development" (GlaD) and the Research Project on "Reducing Poverty Risk in Developing Countries" are organizing an international conference, to be held on May 3-4, 2018, in Göttingen, Germany.
The conference program will focus on globalization and development topics.
Fields of particular interest are:
- aid and international capital flows
- demography and health
- education and labor market
- finance and taxation
- migration, terrorism and conflict
- poverty and inequality
- risk and vulnerability
- social networks and norms
- trade and technological change
Researchers are invited to submit full papers to be considered for oral presentation. In addition, there will be a poster session. Papers should be submitted as PDF files through this website: https://s-lotus.gwdg.de/uni/uwfb/glad_2018.nsf/submission.
The submission deadline is November 30, 2017. Papers will be reviewed by members of the program committee and notifications of acceptance will be sent out by January 15, 2018. The registration deadline for accepted speakers is February 28th, 2018. There is a conference fee of 50€ to be paid in cash on-site.

There will be a limited number of travel stipends. Doctoral students whose paper have been accepted for oral or poster presentation and who do not receive travel funding from their local institution can apply for this stipend. It is particularly intended for students from developing countries. Applications to receive one of the stipends are only possible after acceptance.
