Internship in an English-taught Erasmus Mundus Programme in Göttingen


The Erasmus Mundus Master’s Programme EUROCULTURE is an international and inter-university project, in which various disciplines, eight well-known European and four non-EU universities participate. Its aim is to prepare graduates from Europe and third-countries for professions in which knowledge of present-day Europe and European Union institutions are of relevance. The Euroculture Programme brings together some 120 students who have to pass a selection procedure to be admitted. The Programme is fully taught in English.

Job description:
Support the work of the Euroculture staff by:
• Providing research on Euroculture related issues, helping with the preparation of projects and classes
• Helping to start the new 120 ECTS Master’s Programme as well as the Joint-Doctorate Programme
• Responding to queries of the current and potential students
• Helping to organize events and activities
• Other tasks as necessary

Your profile:
• Interest in and good understanding of Euroculture related topics
• Excellent spoken and written English, good level of German (B1-B2 levels). Other languages are of advantage
• High motivation, pro-activeness, high self-organisational skills, ability to work independently
• International experience (working/living/studying abroad)
• Excellent research and interpersonal skills
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

Practical information:
• Time span: 6-24 weeks in between April 2012 and April 2013 (the exact duration and time can be discussed)
• Working hours: 22-39,85 hours per week
• The internship is not paid but can be accounted for
