The English-language M.Sc. program "Tropical and International Agriculture" (TIA) addressed German and foreign students from disciplines such as agriculture, cultural anthropology, biology, economics, rural development, forestry, geography, and horticulture.

The TIA program has been revised and a new MSc programme
"Sustainable International Agriculture (SIA)"
which combines the present MSc study programmes
“Tropical and International Agriculture“ at Goettingen and
“International Organic Agriculture“ at Witzenhausen has been developed.

The MSc programme Sustainable International Agriculture (SIA) will start in winter semester 2009/2010 as a joint study programme of the agricultural faculties of the Georg-August-University of Goettingen and the University of Kassel - Witzenhausen.

With the start of the new programme it is not possible any more to register and start in the MSc Programme Tropical and International Agriculture. Students already registered in TIA can finish their studies within this programme.
