Besides intensifying interdisciplinary networking, the Göttingen Centre for Gender Studies (GCG) has defined the advancement of up-and-coming academics in the field of Gender Studies as its central goal.
This concerns the promotion of young researchers both in their doctoral and post-doctoral phase which includes the GCG scholarships granted in the autumn of 2014 as well as the fellowship programmes.
In addition, the GCG is working together with other university institutions fostering young academics and strives to offer young scholars working in the field of Gender Studies counsel and support.
The Genderlabor" (Gender laboratory), a cooperation of the GCG, GSGG (Graduate School of Humanities Göttingen), and GGG (Göttingen Graduate School of Social Sciences), provides a forum for interdisciplinary exchange.
