The Chair of Development Studies ('Juniorprofessur') is a joint chair of the German Institute of Global and Area Studies (GIGA) in Hamburg and the University of Göttingen. Its regional focus lies with Latin America through its affiliation to the Ibero-America Institute for Economic Research in Göttingen and the GIGA Institute of Latin American Studies.
