Bulgaria: leadership of an ecological field course for evaluating protected areas in East Bulgaria, 1996.

Germany: research in protected areas on effects of park management upon vertebrata-species (DFG), from 2001 on.

Mexico: guest university lecturer at the university of Monterrey/Linares with field studies, (DAAD) 1987.

Mongolia: Presentation of paper of conservation strategies in the university. Field studies in the forest-steppe (since 1996). Responsible for co-operation with the National University of Ulan Bator by contract (funded by DAAD), 1996. 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, leading a research station in North Mongolia since 1999 (VW-Stiftung, Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft, BMBF, GTZ).

Northern Sweden: leadership of ecological field courses for students (three times, partnership with the University of Umeå). Ecological research by supervising diplomands and doctorands for field studies, 1991, 1992, 1993.

Poland: leadership of ecological field courses for students (nine times); Exchange of university lectures (funded by the DAAD/PAN) and Seminar in Conservation and management of en- dangered species in Germany and Poland; Cooperation in the national park project of Biebrza (funded by the Stiftung Europäisches Naturerbe).
