| Details | One aim of Iwasawa Theory is to obtain information on the structure of the class groups in a Z_p extension of an arbitrary number field K. Fukuda addressed the question of when these class groups are of uniformly bounded size and found a relation to the capitulation problem in Z_p extensions of certain real number fields K. This talk will give a summary of these results and the methods needed for the proofs. |
