Travelling by Train and Bus
Travelling by train to Göttingen
Göttingen is on the Intercity Express (ICE) North-South route between Hamburg, Bremen and Berlin in the North, and Frankfurt and Munich in the South. Current train times can be found here: http://bahn.hafas.de

To get to the faculty by bus you have to change once. The station has two exits and both have taxi stands. A taxi ride to the faculty takes 12 minutes.

To get to the faculty by bus you have to change buses once. Exit at the front of the station, direction city centre. The bus station is ca. 100 m to the right of the station.
Take the number 10 bus (leaves every 30 minutes on weekdays (*.01 and *.31 minutes past the hour), via the city centre, direction Herberhausen/Roringen). Get out at the 5th stop (Weender Straße Ost).
After about 5 minutes take the number 5 bus from this stop (Weender Straße Ost) direction Nikolausberg. (leaves every 30 minutes on week days (*.25 and *.55).
Get out after about 15 minutes at the stop Burckhardtweg.
From this stop go back about 30 m and turn left onto the road leading to the faculty. Follow the road till the largest building (Büsgenweg 2). The Bioclimatology group is located at the 5th floor (top floor)

Traveling by car
If you are coming on the A7 Autobahn, exit at Göttingen Nord (junction 72), and continue to the end of the Autobahn access road (go east). At the large junction with traffic lights (speed cameras!) go straight on along the B27 direction Braunlage/Duderstadt. After passing 2 pedestrian crossings (speed cameras!) you leave Göttingen and after 1-2 km you come to a traffic light (a restaurant is on the right). Turn left (into Faßberg direction Nikolausberg).
Continue up the hill, and take the second left, then after 30 m left again (Burkhardtweg). Take the second left into the car park. From there walk to the largest building (Büsgenweg 2). The Bioclimatology group is located at the 5th floor (top floor)
Traveling by plane:
Hannover
The nearest airport to Göttingen is Hannover (ca. 120 km). A train link takes you to Hannover main station (line S5, every 30 minutes; takes 12 minutes), where you can get on an Intercity express (ICE) train to Göttingen. The trip with the ICE takes about 35 minutes.

Frankfurt
The Frankfurt/Main airport is ca. 250 km from Göttingen. There is a direct ICE connection to Göttingen. The trip with the ICE takes about 2h.
