Karla M. García Delgado, MA

Karla Marysol Garcia Delgado was born in 1985 in Valle de Bravo, Mexico. She moved to Guadalajara with the purpose of doing her Bachelor degree in International Business at the University of Guadalajara. There she had the opportunity to reinforce her linguistic skills and start traveling for study matters.

During her Bachelor degree, she spent one month in Canada to learn English. She also did two semesters abroad. The first one in the Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, United States. There she did an internship at The Edge Connection, an organization that helps microentrepreneurs. The second semester abroad was in the University of Applied Sciences in Kufstein, Tirol, Austria. Her linguistic skills in English and German were improved with these two semesters abroad. However she did not stop there, she did a Teacher Training course in English and decided to learn another language, French. At the University of Guadalajara Karla also worked as a researcher in the Marketing area. Then she did an exchange as a researcher at the University of the State of Mexico in Toluca, Mexico.

After finishing her Bachelor degree, Karla worked as an English Teacher at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. Then she was granted with an Erasmus Mundus ECW scholarship for studying the MA in Euroculture at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. For her second semester Karla chose the Groningen University in Groningen, The Netherlands. In that university, she attended the IP 2010.

Karla was part of the Euroculture IP 2011 in the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany.
Main interests: traveling, learning languages and getting to know about other cultures by meeting people from other nationalities.
