Google Maps for Neurons

The human cerebellum packs about 80 percent of the brain’s total neurons into just 10 percent of its volume – meaning that one cubic millimetre can accommodate over one million neurons. Until recently, the exact positions and relationships between neighbouring neurons were largely unknown.
