Lichtenberg-Kolleg Lichtenberg-Kolleg Anne Frank FellowshipsResearch Fellowships (Postdoc)

The Lichtenberg-Kolleg, the Goettingen Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Fritz Bauer Institute Frankfurt invite applications for up to 3 Junior Research Fellowships.

For the coming years Martin van Gelderen, director of the Lichtenberg-Kolleg, and Raphael Gross, director of the Fritz Bauer Institute, will set up an international and interdisciplinary research team to prepare a new multilingual critical edition of the diaries of Anne Frank and a joint research monograph that will put the diaries in a variety of comparative, literary and historical perspectives and explore readings and receptions.

For the period April 2014 to September 2015 we are inviting junior scholars to join our research team. We are particularly, but not only, looking for candidates with research interests in questions of genre, the artistic dimensions of the diaries, readings and receptions around the globe, Anne Frank and the cold war and the role of the diaries in the globalisation of the Holocaust.

Fellowships will be held at the Lichtenberg Kolleg. The Kolleg promotes gender equality and cultural diversity. Qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply. Disabled persons with equivalent aptitude will be favoured.

Fellowships are open to candidates who have received a doctorate within the last 5 years.

Please send your application to: lichtenbergkolleg@zvw.uni-goettingen.de

The deadline is 31 January 2014.
