Agricultural scientist Professor Dr. Wolfgang Lücke has been a Vice-President of the University of Göttingen since October 2008. The University Senate re-elected him to this office on 12th January, the Foundation Committee pertaining to the University subsequently confirming the election. Within the University directorate, Professor Lücke, whose term of office ends in September 2012, is responsible for the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, the Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology, the Faculty of Biology and the Faculty of Geosciences and Geography; he is also in charge of teaching and learning and the central University institution for language-learning and key competencies.
