Academic Writing in Multilingual Contexts

The International Writing Centre at Göttingen University offers a special program (refer to UniVZ) during Winter Term 2016/2017 regarding students enrolled in international study programs.

The program MultiConText of the International Writing Centre is designed to support students in international study programs, multilingual contexts and/or studying perhaps in another language than their native language(s) in their writing processes. Starting from their own experience in academic writing, MultiConText approaches systematically their needs to develop and extend their academic writing skills at a German university with strong regard to their multilingual situation. The program offers the participants space to develop their individual writing style influenced by voice, identity and conventions acquired during their entire academic socialization in different cultures, social contexts, and even scientific communities.
