2017 CHE University Ranking Results

The Faculty of Business and Economics was ranked very well in the current university ranking of the Centre for Higher Education (CHE), and ranked among the top and middle groups in the evaluated fields of business administration, economics, and business information systems.

In particular, students are satisfied with their general academic situation and gave the faculty an above average ranking. For example, in business administration, top rankings were given in the following areas: general academic situation, the possibility to finish a study programme in the given time, support at the beginning of studies, career relevance, and academic relevance.

Course offerings, support at the beginning of studies, as well as support for study abroad were, for example, also ranked in the top category for students in economics. Furthermore, in economics, the internationally oriented master's programme ranked very high, as well as research, such as publications per year and research funds per researcher.

Business information systems ranks at the very top in areas such as support during studies, course offerings, support at the beginning of studies, career relevance, and publications per professor.

In the CHE university ranking, factors such as studying, teaching, infrastructure and research, as well as results from the survey by students and professors of the respective universities are included. There is no final ranking list of universities, and instead, there is a ranking of universities and vocational institutes according to customized indicators across three groups (top, middle, and bottom).

According to CHE, the ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking of German universities and vocational institutes. Every year, one-third of the subjects are re-evaluated: www.ranking.zeit.de [in German]
