Research Fellowships from Russian partner universities
A group of researchers from Russian universities has spent several weeks at the Institute of Ecumenical Theology within the framework of the project „EUinDepth: European Identity, Cultural Diversity and Political Change“.
The project is coordinated by Stanislau Paulau and headed by Professor Martin Tamcke whose book about Tolstoj has just been published in Russian translation. Apart of this German translation of the central for the Russian Orthodoxy Catechism of Metropolitan Filaret of Moscow has been recently issued by Professor Tamcke.
The Russian colleagues came from universities of Tomsk, Izhevsk, Perm, Krasnodar, Voronezh and Moscow. They have conducted surveys among students and teachers and gave lectures on some important aspects of the relationships between European Union and Russia. Several workshops with German participants are being planned for the coming year in Russia (Tomsk, Perm and Izhevsk).
