Faculty of Economic Sciences

Additional courses (including language courses) in the 2015 summer semester

Bachelor's degree programmes

The below table provides a list of both faculty and non-faculty courses that can be taken in addition to the courses listed in the " Modulhandbuch für Bachelor-Studiengänge" (Module Handbook for bachelor's students).

Please note the following regulations concerning foreign languages for the bachelor's programmes in business administration, economics, and business information systems for both electives and general studies:

  • You are allowed to begin and continue only one foreign language course from the Grundstufenniveau (beginner's level) for a maximum of three courses each with 6 credit points.
  • Courses in your mother tongue cannot be applied towards your degree.
  • English does not qualify as a general language, but can only be taken as business English. Additionally, for French, only courses above Mittelstufenniveau (intermediate level) can be applied towards your degree.

  • Example: Spanish Grundstufe I (beginner I); Italian Grundstufe I (beginner I) and Swedish Grundstufe I (beginner I) may not be taken together. However, focusing on one language is possible. An example is Spanish. One could take Spanish and complete all the Grundstufe (beginner) courses of I, II and III, and have the courses be applied towards the degree.
  • In addition, all foreign business language courses will be recognized, even those that are not yet incorporated into the study programme.
