MSc Crop Protection
For admission a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural sciences, biology or a related discipline following at least 6 semesters of University studies is required. Admission is mainly based on the student’s grade point average, which should be 3.0 (German system, equivalent to a B-) or better.
Educational background, relevant professional experience, additional professional qualifications and motivation may also be considered in the selection process.
Applicants whose first language is not English must provide proof of proficiency in English . The following internationally recognized tests and levels are accepted:
a) Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English grade "B"
b) Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English grade "C"
c) "International English Language Testing System" (IELTS) 6 points or better
d) at least 550 points in a paper-based TOEFL
e) at least 220 points in a computerbased TOEFL
f) at least 80 points in the "new internet based TOEFL
g) UNIcert level III
h) C1-certificate of CEF (Common European Framework).
The language test certificate must not be older than 2 years at the time of application. Students with a two year study or work experience in an English speaking country within the past three years at the time of application do not require a proof of English language proficiency.
Students from outside the EU must obtain a visa for Germany.
