Seminar: Asian Business & Economics

This course is designed to provide a broad understanding of the scope and expansion of business operations in the Asian context.

Course Objectives

Due to the high growth rates in Asian countries and the intense economic ties between Europe and Asia, the topic of "Asian Business and Economics" becomes nowadays more and more important.

The objective of this course is to impart theoretical and practical knowledge about the Asian continent from a business and economic perspective. The focus lies on the Asian region, on the success factors of Asian companies and on teaching intercultural skills that are needed to operate as foreign entrepreneurs or employees in Asia.

Beside the acquisition of theoretical knowledge of the management of Asian companies, the students should be prepared for a future career in companies that have business relations with Asia.

Class hours: Monday 10:15-11:45
Class room: Oeconomicum - 1.164

Please note: In winter semester 2017/2018 this seminar will start in January 2018. The first class will take place 08th of January 10:15-11:45 in Oeconomicum 1.164.
