Following the 2011/ 2012 winter semester, 227 students graduated from the Faculty of Economic Sciences. 100 of the students were awarded their final grades by study dean Professor Dr. Gerhard Rübel on April 27, 2012 as part of festivities in the university auditorium on Wilhelmsplatz.

The faculty has also awarded the "Florenz Sartorius Prize" to the top graduates from the Business Administration, Economics, Business and Human Resource Education and Business Information Systems programmes to recognize their exceptional performance. Into the bargain, two additional dissertation prizes are awarded in the spring for the best dissertations from the Business Administration Department and the Economics Department. The prizes are endowed by Göttingen's Sartorius AG.

Furthermore, the faculty also awarded the Festo University Prize for "Innovations in Information Processing" to recognize exceptional final projects in the area of Business Information Systems. The award is endowed by Festo AG & Co. KG.
