Programme description:
With France and francophony studies as the main subject area, it is possible to complete a German-French double degree in cooperation with the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour. This degree programme leads to the award of a double diploma of Master Arts, Lettres, Langues et Civilisations, Parcours Poétiques et Histoire littéraire from the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour and Master of Arts, TransRomania Studies.

This double degree programme comprises 4 semesters, of which 2 are spent at the partner university. Of the required 120 ECTS, 60 ECTS are acquired during the first academic year at the Université de Pau.

Occupational fields
The completion of a Master of Arts degree in TransRomania Studies qualifies students for a university career, for positions in research and cultural institutions, cultural journalism, cultural management, public relations, and generally for all occupations which require comprehensive knowledge of Romance languages and cultures and intercultural competence. The double degree option with its German-French and international orientation also opens up numerous additional career opportunities, for example in the publishing industry, in the area of culture, in the media, and in research and teaching.
