On January 2012, Dr. Cornelia Tonhäuser will take on the newly created junior professorship for Business Education with focus on Educational Management at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Göttingen.

After studying educational science with the foci education management and business education at the University of Erfurt, she worked from 2000 to 2002 as a research assistant at the Department of General Education and Educational Research at the University of Erfurt. Cornelia Tonhäuser also has experience in the non-university sector. During her doctoral studies at the University of Erfurt she worked at the Direktbank ING DiBa AG and after her doctoral studies as an education officer at the KMG Bildungsakademie gGmbH. In 2009 she completed her doctoral studies parallel to working and received her doctorate at the Faculty of Education of the University of Erfurt with Prof. em. Dr. Peter Zedler. Her dissertation deals with the “Implementation of Coaching a Human Resource Development Tool in Large German Companies".

At the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Dr. Cornelia Tonhäuser will mainly offer courses in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programme in Business and Human Resource Education. Her research interests lie in the areas of educational management, vocations and occupational educations, and professionalization of teachers, trained and educations managers.
