The Erasmus programme facilitates the exchange of students and teaching staff throughout Europe. Studying abroad with the ERASMUS programme has a number of advantages – it is easy to apply and students are supported financially and organisationally by the University of Göttingen and the host university.
Anyone wishing to study abroad for one or two semesters at a partner university must apply for a place on the exchange programme by writing a short letter of motivation. This is followed by an interview with Prof. Tamcke, who is the person in charge of the programme at the faculty. Once nominated, the student will then be guided by a student research assistant at the Faculty in Göttingen through the normal registration procedure at the partner university.
The following ERASMUS partners are involved in the exchange of students (S) with 3 or more semesters and/or teaching staff (T).
Although the partner contracts are normally concluded with the Department of Ecumenical Theology, exchanges can take place in all areas of theology since every faculty has its own specialisations.
Click on the links (on the right) or on the appropriate flag to obtain more information on the partner university and faculties.
You can also find reports from former Erasmus students here, which include a lot of useful information on the exchange abroad.
In order to make sure that your studies and academic achievements accomplished while abroad are recognised here in Göttingen, please consult the Student Advisory Service before departure.
