The Ethics of Living: Questions of Justice, Poverty, Life and Death in the Human and Natural Sciences

This research theme is designed to build and strengthen bridges between the natural and human sciences. For January 2014 to July 2015, the research theme will be „The Ethics of Living: Questions of Justice, Poverty, Life and Death in the Human and Natural Sciences” in order to explore the bridges between the research of ethical questions in a number of natural and human sciences, most notably agricultural sciences, economics, medicine, physics, political science and philosophy. The focus would be on the exploration of interlinks between the debates on justice, on animal treatment and rights and on ethical issues concerning life and death in medicine.
