  • Knowledge and Innovation in, to and from Emerging Markets (KITFEM)
Knowledge and innovation are considered critical factors for the rise of emerging economies and the further advancement of developed economies. The KITFEM project focuses on the generation and management of knowledge and innovation in emerging markets. It aims to elucidate the transfer of innovation capabilities from developed to emerging markets and the associated learning process and moreover examines the novel phenomenon of reverse transfer of innovation and knowledge from emerging to developed markets. In this regard, an important feature of KITFEM is the secondment of staff among fifteen academic and non-academic partners in nine countries around the world in four continents. The dissemination of research reports from the KITFEM project addressing both an academic and non-academic audience is further intended to increase the impact of the project and to facilitate innovation in emerging and developed markets.
