The Lichtenberg-Kolleg presents monthly public lectures by eminent scholars at the Historic Observatory.

Additional workshops, organized by fellows, associates and other scholars from the Göttingen Research Campus take place in order to identify topics that lend themselves to collaborative research in Göttingen.

On the occasion of the opening ceremonies of the Lichtenberg-Kolleg an exhibition was curated by the Lichtenberg-Kolleg, the Academy of Sciences Göttingen and the Lichtenberg Society. The exhibition took place from 8 to 29 November 2009 at Paulinerkirche (Historic Building of the Göttingen State and University Library), Papendiek 14.
