In June 1994 Georg Strecker set up a foundation to benefit young academic theologians. It began its work at the beginning of 1995 and in accordance with the benefactor’s wishes it should

• award grants towards the publication costs for above-average academic achievement


• award prize money for outstanding academic theological work. Advertise assignments for competitions and award prizes to work selected by the board


• fund time-limited scholarships to PhD students
