Details The EU Office at the University of Göttingen will offer the event "Getting Started in Horizon 2020: European Union Research Funding" on Wednesday, 24 April 2019, from 9:15 h to about 12:30 h in the lecture hall (1st floor) of the SUB Göttingen Historical Building at Papendiek 14, 37073 Göttingen.

The European Union’s Eighth Framework Programme is called Horizon 2020. Though many scientists may find the path to European research funding formidable, in this session, research advisors from the EU Office will help you understand the fundamentals using concrete illustrations to address the following issues: What is a Work Programme and a Call? What is the Participant Portal, and what does it offer? What does an application look like? What constitutes the financial plan for an application? And how to get practical and financial support from the EU Office at the University of Göttingen. Moreover, Prof. Stefan Vidal will offer insight on his first-hand experiences on applying for EU funding and coordinating an EU research project.

Researchers and scholars at all career stages and in all academic disciplines are invited to attend. Presentations will be held in English. Please, register at the latest by 8 April 2019: andre.maechler@zvw.uni-goettingen.de
