  • December 2018 | FDSL 13


  • The 13th European Conference Formal Description of Slavic Languages (FDSL 13) took place from December 5 to 7, 2018. Organizing Committee: Uwe Junghanns, Andreas Blümel, Jovana Gajić, and Hagen Pitsch.

  • February 2018 | GraModAT Workshop


  • On February 26th, 2018, a workshop called Grammaticalization of Mood, Aspect and Tense (GraModAT) took place in Göttingen, organized by the following students of the German Department: Katharina Paul, Maik Thalmann, Carina Meisel, and Isabelle Fröhlich. They were supported by Marco Coniglio and Markus Steinbach (SDP).

    Hagen Pitsch took part with a presentation titled "From Tense to Mood? Grammaticalization and the Slavic Conditional".

  • June 2017 | GGS 2017


  • The 43rd conference Generative Grammatik des Südens (GGS) will take place at the University of Goettingen from 16th to 18th June 2017. Organizers are Anke Holler (SDP), Uwe Junghanns (SSP), Guido Mensching (SRP), Markus Steinbach (SDP), and Hedde Zeijlstra (SEP).

  • On October 12, 2015 the Workshop on Sentence Types and Mood takes place in the media room of the English Department. Its organizers are Andreas Blümel, Eva Csipak, Olga Kellert and Hagen Pitsch.   • May 2013 | Talk in newly established colloquium


  • May 21st 2013, Hagen Pitsch was given the opportunity to open a new colloquium organized by the student representatives of the Linguistic Department. The topic of his talk was his Ph.D. dissertation. Within the newly established colloquium, Ph.D. students from various linguistic and philological departments of the University of Göttingen are able to present their current work.

  • Jan 2013 | Proceedings of FDSL 9


  • The Proceedings of FDSL 9, which took place at Göttingen University in Dec 2011 for the first time, has now been published by "Peter Lang" (Frankfurt am Main). It is part of the series Linguistik International (vol. 28).
    The volume contains 16 contributions concerning the lexicon, syntax, semantics, information structure and phonology in Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian, Bulgarian, Czech, Polish, Russian and Slovenian.

  • The Slavic Department organized the 9th European Conference "Formal Description of Slavic Languages" (FDSL) in Göttingen. 24 current contributions concerning formal syntax, phonetics/phonology, morphology, semantics and corpus linguistics have been presented.
