How to apply for the M.Sc.-Program?

The Academic Selection Committee will only accept complete applications in English. By handling in an application there is no entitlement for participating in the study-program.
Deadline: Applications for this MSc programme will be accepted until August 31, 2015 (Talca program) and April 15, 2015 (Bogor program).
The application documents in detail:

The application should be send twice as hard-copy containing the following documents:

  • A filled out DAAD-form for application to the DAAD scholarship.
    The DAAD Scholarships for IARD correspond to "Study scholarship for a postgraduate course with relevance to developing countries"

  • Officially certified hardcopies of B.Sc. Degree including transcripts grades with GPA.
    Documents in other language than English shall be translated by certified translator.

  • Curriculum Vitae (with a recent photograph, please use the Europass CV Template)
    Letter of Motivation (1-2 pages in English)
    The candidate shall highlight his or her motives and interests to enrol in the M.Sc. program with particular reference on how the applicant intends to use the M.Sc. degree for future professional career.

  • Short research proposal describing the intended topic to develop as master thesis.
    The topic of the proposal can be changed during the study courses.

  • Proof of English Skills: TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge Certificate (not older than two years).

  • Two letters of recommendation.
    At least one letter should come from a scientist employed at the university at which the candidate received his or her undergraduate degree.

  • Professional experience should be documented by letters of current or previous employers or letter of recommendation.

  • A declaration by the applicant how he or she intends to finance living costs, travel and other expenses (only if you are not applying for a DAAD Scholarship.)
