The Department Ecoinformatics, Biometrics and Forest Growth is one out of nine Departments of the Büsgen Institute and therefore member of the Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology of the Georg-August-University of Göttingen (Foundation under public law).

The heads of the department are Prof. Dr. Kurth and Prof. Dr. Saborowski.

Besides the membership in the Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology the department is a member of the Centre of Informatics as well.
