The fact that the Faculty of Theology in Göttingen is one of the most research intensive of its kind is not least due to the close cooperation it enjoys with many international partners and Institutions located abroad. Compared with other German institutions, the faculty has a particularly dense network of international cooperation at its disposal, which is nurtured mainly through the international relationships and activities of the researchers working here in Göttingen.

On the following pages we offer you an insight into the various forms of international cooperation at the faculty. These vary according to the academic opportunities and interests of the disciplines and individuals involved. You will find both contractually-regulated cooperation, international research projects and exchange agreements which are partly funded externally, and less formal relationships, such as occasional teaching assignments abroad or work as consultant to doctoral students from other countries.
