Language Requirements for Programme Admission

For some programmes you must submit proof of sufficient language skills prior to the start of the programme. The proof must not be older than two years (three years in some programmes). The right-hand side menu lists the respective programmes; you can find more information on the language requirements on their respective websites.

Certification to be submitted at the time of enrolment

Certifications are issued by the respective departments and are required for enrolment; they do not have to be included in the application.
- For American Studies, English (teaching profession), English Philology and English as 2nd subject (together with Business and Human Resource Education), the proof of language proficiency can be acquired during the first year of studies. -

Exceptions

  • Applicants who are native speakers of the respective language
  • International applicants participating in an exchange programme approved by the respective department
