Management in Theory & Practice

In your Master’s degree, we empower you to solve complex economic problems and to take up management functions. We perceive the combination of science and industry as the key to a successful career.
In addition to the traditional transfer of knowledge, we place emphasis on seminars, small groups and tutorials and on mutual learning.

Application-oriented content

  • By means of project seminars with our industry partners, we work out concrete solutions to assignments in a company.
  • Students and teachers participate in joint field trips to selected partners in industry.
  • Regular presentations are made by selected representatives from industry, such as, directors of DAX companies.


Scientific methods

  • are our basic principles and will be taught to you within the framework of methods courses and research colloquia.
  • They serve as the basic principles, for example, in the context of computer exercises in the development and implementation of concrete solutions.
  • They enable you to enjoy a successful career in academia and in industry.


Degree programme structure

The obligatory courses of the 1st to the 4th semesters will teach you the most important fundamental concepts of Management. By means of a number of optional courses, you can set your own priorities and build up a personal profile, for example, by combining logistics and IT or controlling and administration. To complete the degree programme you will be required to write a Master’s thesis in which you intensify and consolidate the knowledge you have acquired.

For people with international ambitions, there is the opportunity to study at one of our attractive partner universities abroad and to provide services for the Master’s degree there.
