History

In 1961 Carl Andresen set up a separate department to support research into patristic theology. International research is kept up to date by literature procurement. The character of the department allows close relationships to other patristic research centres, in particular, to the “Patristic Commission”.

Current research projects are a continuous coverage of research publications in Greek Patristics, and work on a critical edition of the Logoi of Isaiah the Monk.
