Research interests

My primary research uses field experimentation and ecosystem monitoring to understand:

  • Spatial and temporal patterns of ecosystem responses to environmental changes in both temperate and tropical forests.
  • Biogeochemical interactions (soil nutrient-microbial-plant) and changes in ecological processes and functions (e.g. carbon sequestration) in response to external factors (nutrient depositions, management practices, changing climate etc.).
  • Nutrient regulation of ecosystem productivity and nutrient-use or-response efficiencies in forest ecosystems, agricultural vis-à-vis agroforestry systems.
