Special support for students with children

As a family friendly university, the goal of the University of Göttingen is to orient the study conditions so that it is possible for women and men to combine study and family life. Students with child(ren) who opt for are a longer stay abroad supported by Erasmus+, who would like to take their child/(ren) to the place of study abroad and who are then single parents on location, can therefore apply for a special grant within the framework of Erasmus+ KA 103/131.

Single parents
Students who are single parents during their stay abroad can submit an application for Erasmus + KA 103/131 Special Funding through the department Göttingen International. The prerequisite is that the students have been officially nominated by their faculty and accepted by the partner university. In compliance with the Erasmus+ KA 103/13 funding procedure of the University of Göttingen, an additional allowance of € 200 per month can be granted regardless of the number of children. As this additional support is paid as a grant, no additional evidence of additional costs must be submitted in addition to the proof confirming that the child(ren) have been taken abroad (e.g. travel documents or on-the-spot checks).

Families with child(ren)
If both parents are enrolled at the University of Göttingen and are planning a stay abroad, they can apply for Erasmus+ KA 103/131 special support at Göttingen International. The prerequisite is that both students have been officially nominated by their faculty and accepted by the partner university. Subject to the Erasmus+ KA 103/131 scholarship award procedure of the University of Göttingen, an additional allowance of € 200 per child may be granted (from winter term 2021/22), subject to the available funds. As this additional support is paid as a grant, there is no other evidence to be submitted besides the proof that the child(ren) is/are taken abroad (e.g. travel documents or on-the-spot checks) and the birth certificate of the child(ren).

An application must be submitted to Göttingen International until July 15th, 2021. The forms are available on request from the Erasmus+ KA 103/131 team.
