State examination

Whereas the Bachelor’s, and Master’s examinations are university examinations, the final examination for programmes in Law, Human Medicine, and Dentistry is the state examination.

State examinations are conducted by the State Examination Office. A person who has successfully completed the state examination is qualified to take up a profession or to commence practical professional training. This training is completed by taking a second state examination.
