The Study Advisor

As the study advisor I answer all different questions across the mathematical studies at Göttingen. In the following, you will find an overview of the topics of advise and the regular office hours.
As far as you have a student e-mail-address, use this to contact me. The messages sent to the E-Mail address at the contact may be read and answered by other members of the study office mathematics, especially if I'm not available.

Regular Office Hours and Changes

These are the regular office hours. Except Tuesdays and Fridays you don't need to book a meeting time. For longer issues I recommend to book an appointment via Stud.IP.

for Tuesday and Friday booking online/phone or in- person appointments in Stud.IP Search for my profile in Stud.IP, scroll to "Terminvergabe" there, click on "eintragen" at the favored time and follow the further instructions.

Topics of Advise

As the study advisor I answer all different questions across the mathematical studies at Göttingen. Especially I advise at these issues:

  • Structure and Scheduling of Your Mathematical Studies
  • Questions About Regulations
  • Admission of External Examinations
  • Difficulties During your Mathematical studies
  • Orientation for Prospective Students
  • Key Competence Modules
  • Career Start at Mathematics
  • Further Personal Issues Affecting the Studies (i.e. pregnancy, accessible studies, trans sexuality, care of relatives)
I also execute the compulsory advisory.

Advisory Regarding the Fields Of Study (SP)

There ist also the opportunity to get advisory regarding the detailed content of the different fields of study. These are offered by the three mathematical institutes.
