The study program covers


• lectures in statistical methods, e.g. "Spatial Statistics" or "Mixed Models"
  
• specialized courses on topics relevant for the individual PhD projects
  
• soft skills training, e.g. "Scientific Writing" or "Diversity competence"
  
• summer schools after one and two years
  

Scientific exchange is fostered by


• interdisciplinary research seminars and a RTG colloquium
  
• visiting researchers
  
• attending workshops and conferences
  
• optional research stays abroad; in some projects they are obligatory
  

All lectures and seminars are given in English.
