by car
Göttingen is located at the highway A7 and has two highway exits. For the city center, leave the highway at exit 73 "Göttingen". For the northern districts, including the German Primate Center, take exit 72 "Göttingen-Nord". Hotel Eden provides a travel plan.

by plane
The most important airport in the vicinity of Göttingen is in Hannover (139 km), but additional small airports are Kassel-Calden (63 km) and Paderborn (136 km). From Hannover, Göttingen can be reached by train within 1 hour.

Travel within Göttingen


The easiest way to get around is with the local bus services. The bus lines 21, 22 and 23 connect the city center and the German Primate Primate Center (DPZ). The walking distance from the bus stop "Kellnerweg" to the German Primate Center is approx. three minutes. A map with all bus lines is available. Tickets (single tickets, day tickets and a four-ticket-package) can be purchased on the bus.
