What is a Double Degree Programme?

The double degree MA Development Economics/MSc Economics and Development is jointly offered by two universities, the University of Göttingen and the University of Florence. This means that you acquire two degrees, which if earned separately, would take four years of studies. In the double degree programme, you spend two semesters at each university, and write your thesis at the guest university, in this case, Florence. The master's thesis is recognized for both degrees.

Once you finish your coursework (ten courses in Göttingen and a further six in Florence) and thesis, you will be awarded two degrees, which both state that you acquired your degree within the framework of a double degree.
