Apart from its research collaborations with industry, the Faculty of Chemistry works hand in hand with several partner companies to provide training for its students. These co-operations enable students to experience a professional working environment at an early stage, through work placement and joint lectures. Partner organisations range from large-scale chemical and pharmaceutical companies to regional businesses. During work placement – which can be used to earn credits towards their degree – students gain insight into potential occupational areas.
The Faculty has collaboration agreements with several companies, making it easier for students to secure work placement opportunities. Please contact the Dean’s Office for information on the latest offers. Upon request the staff will also provide you with a letter of recommendation for inclusion in your application documents.
